I am in pain and distress; may your salvation, O God, protect me.
Psalm 69:29

Pain and distress
I never cease marveling at the fact that the Son of God chose to become a human being and share in our weakness and frailty. I keep thinking that because of this, Jesus must have spent a lot of time praying the Psalms. And I admire both Jesus and the psalmist for reaching out and taking hold of the outstretched hand of God in the midst of their weakness. It really is true that you experience the strength of God in the midst of your weakness. You learn this especially when you continually and lovingly focus on Jesus. Prayer: Lord, I want to know your strength in my weakness. Read: Psalm 69.
